Bergamo Design is committed to solid brass hardware built to last. To back that, every product is covered by a mechanical warranty and a finish warranty, detailed below.

Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. This warranty is in addition to, and does not limit, your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

5-Year Mechanical Warranty

All Bergamo Design hardware is covered by a 5-year mechanical warranty from the date of purchase. This covers the internal working mechanism, latches, springs, and moving parts, remaining fully functional under normal residential use.

This does not cover:

• Improper installation or failure to follow provided instructions
• Building movement, including structural settling or foundation shifting
• Misuse, abuse, or use outside the product's intended purpose
• Unauthorised modification or repair

1-Year Finish Warranty

All Bergamo Design finishes are covered by a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects such as peeling, blistering, or flaking, under normal interior use.

This does not cover:

• Normal wear and tear, including natural changes in patina on living finishes
• Damage from improper cleaning agents or abrasive materials
• Corrosion or damage caused by moisture or humidity

Leather

The Cavallo leather range is a natural material and will mark, soften, and darken with use. This patina is part of the material and is not covered under the finish warranty.

Marble and Timber

Natural variation in marble veining and timber grain is expected and is not a defect. Marble is a porous natural stone, avoid prolonged exposure to moisture and harsh chemicals.

Making a Claim

Contact us at info@bergamo.com.au with your proof of purchase, the date of purchase, and a description of the fault, including photos. If we determine the product is faulty and covered under this warranty, we will repair or replace it at our cost. If we determine the fault is not covered, we will let you know why.
